Please excuse cross postings--We'd love to get this out statewide!  I know there are a few of you who don't get TASL or TLC email.  Feel free to distribute to the librarians in your district--or through Regional Service Centers as well.


The Texas Association of School Librarians’ Legislative and Advocacy Committee met at TLA’s Annual Assembly in late July, and brainstormed this list of advocacy ideas to help you as you start the school year.

I will compile additional ideas and submit again closer to the start of school.  Our goal is to have ideas specific to school libraries and specifically school libraries in Texas to be collected on our website.
